Position Summary:

As a key member of our Sales and Marketing team you will be the primary contact point for our customers. You will be working with regional sales managers to obtain clear definition of our customers’ needs and requirements while coordinating internal strategies between various departments to best meet those needs. You will also be responsible for reviewing all technical and contractual specification in order to coordinate bus configuration for bid opportunities and prepare proposals for bid submissions.

What You Will Do:

  • Act as the primary contact with both our internal and external customers during the bid or proposal preparation stage ensuring good customer relationships are maintained.
  • Provide daily guidance to functional departments relative to the completion of programs from initial strategy to post proposal submittal.
  • Coordinate with cross- functional New Flyer teams in order to gather required information for bid submission and conduct regular project meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare bid and proposal package elements and ensure proposal is submitted within established guidelines and complete all required project documentation, CRM and pricing files.
  • Manage and maintain market strategy and customer programs after contract award and through bus delivery.
  • Prepare contract changes after initial bid submission and work with customers to confirm final bus configuration for proper costing.
  • Review specification gaps and work with New Flyer teams to develop solutions for gaps and customer needs.
  • Work with supply team to ensure all costing of the bill of material is completed and quotes for required items are obtained.


Preferred Skills

  • University degree in business or engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong collaborative, negotiation and communication skills with ability to present complex issues clearly to customers and stakeholders.
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Project Management experience within a manufacturing environment will be considered an asset
  • Bilingual individuals will be considered an asset
