 Position Summary:

The Product Data Management Project Coordinator will serve as the primary technical correspondent and New Flyer Engineering representative for production contracts and sales opportunities.

What You Will Do:

  • Identify, define and manage technical configuration requirements and clearly communicate details to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Effectively manage and present project documentation.
  • Identify technical risks and opportunities. Develop strategies to mitigate risks and action opportunities.
  • Attend Pre-Production Meetings and Configuration Audits with customers and other New Flyer team members.
  • Manage the Engineering Bill of Material and report BOM status to Management.
  • Assign tasks to New Flyer Engineering Designers to complete contract-specific design work.
  • Actively contribute to cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives.

Preferred Skills

  • Post-secondary education in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of engineering design and project management.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Ability to understand and communicate engineering concepts.
  • Advanced critical thinking and problem solving ability.
  • Above average planning and organizational skills, along with a high degree of detail orientation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient use of MS Office, Oracle and Team Center.
  • Motivated self-starter with capabilities to work within a fast paced team oriented environment.
