Position Summary:

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this position will be responsible to assist and provide people services administrative support and act as a front line management contact and partner to employees and management in the areas of attendance tracking, assist with hourly recruitment and selection, policy and procedures and any other HR administrative duties.

What You Will Do:

  • Responsible for Time and Attendance management and accuracy (input, adjust, edit, etc.) along with daily and weekly reporting
  • Track attendance occurrences and draft and distribute attendance related discipline letters to supervisors and maintain corrective discipline log.
  • Receive, prepare, compose, sort, distribute and copy various correspondence, materials, faxes and mail. Maintain HR forms and information stations.
  • Assist with hourly recruiting and reference checks as needed.
  • Manage Employee Service Award program.
  • Compile and maintain all new hire forms and orientation packets for all new employees. Ensure policies are current and updated.
  • Prepare, distribute and track all hourly employee reviews and new employee reviews and checklists.
  • Serve as a back-up to the Human Resources Payroll Coordinator.
  • Assist and respond to internal inquiries and forward to appropriate HR team member for follow up.
  • Responsible for filing confidential documents into the Employee Personnel files.

Preferred Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED or two years related experience and/or training,
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience in HR.
  • College degree or HR certificate a plus.
  • Must have working knowledge of HR legislation and employment laws.
  • Ability to maintain ethical, confidentiality and professional standards.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and knowledge of time and attendance systems.
  • Must have extreme attention to detail.
  • Communicate professionally and have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to respond quickly and effectively to changing needs of the team.
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and take initiative on variety of tasks and projects.
