Position Summary:

As a key member of our Sales and Marketing team, you will be responsible for the coordination of activities associated with branding, communication, and development of marketing collateral as well as maintaining responsibility for multimedia with respect to concept, image, and technical content. In addition you will be responsible for tracking competitive activity, analyzing out market and business opportunities, trade shows and general support of marketing and sales initiatives.

What You Will Do:

  • Strategize, plan and execute external events, including management of logistics and development of the marketing and sales strategy driving the initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to plan, communicate, and execute events and special initiatives.
  • Work closely with the sales team to develop and deliver on goals, strategize team presence and develop messaging for the demo bus.
  • Assist with brand activation and protection activities, including working with brand ambassadors to ensure consistent use of the New Flyer brand within all areas of the company.
  • Support sales and marketing team projects, including but not limited to promotional item inventory management, sales training material development, content development, and supporting internal communications development and execution.
  • Work closely with cross functional teams to coordinate events such as sales and marketing events, community and corporate social responsibility initiatives, human resources initiatives, and industry events to name a few.
  • Assist with public relations and investor relations activities, including drafting press releases, mailing campaigns media responses and presentations for sales managers, investors, and internal customers.

Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Communications or related business experience.
  • Prior role in marketing, event management, communications, or branding.
  • Graphic or multimedia skills considered an asset.
  • Superior communication skills and ability to influence and build relationships with cross-functional teams.
  • Highly organized and sensitive to multiple deadlines.
  • Forward thinker, not afraid to be innovative and work outside of traditional comfort zones.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and possess initiative to seek improvements.
