Position Summary:

Support assigned manufacturing engineering activities as directed by the Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor and designated Manufacturing Engineers.

What You Will Do:

  • Provide support to manufacturing engineering personnel as assigned.
  • Work effectively as a manufacturing engineer support member to ensure operational metrics are achieved and any remedial action is actively pursued.
  • Help maintain current updates on manufacturing engineering related tasks on the manufacturing cell log.
  • Design or specify assigned equipment/tooling/racking required to support manufacturing.
  • Assist with assigning default locators to parts within assigned manufacturing cells.
  • Assist with updating standard work instructions and training.
  • Update and maintain layouts (plant & cell layouts, inventory, housekeeping, emergency, security maps).
  • Participate and help facilitate lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Conduct process observations to ensure that assigned time standards are fair and consistent.
  • Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) meetings as assigned to assist with the disposition of non-conforming materials.

Preferred Skills

  • Actively enrolled in a four year engineering degree program and/or related courses
  • Experience working in a fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with AutoCad, Unigraphics , and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work with little supervision, organized, and punctual
  • Must be available to work day shift (6:30am – 3:00pm)
