Job Description

What you will do:

  • Completes Engineering design tasks and project assignments which support production activities.
  • Coordinates own tasks to ensure schedule and dates are met considering vendor and production lead times. Includes maintaining task status and recording time speed on each task.
  • Creates Engineering designs that meet customer specifications, Technical Summaries, other contracts documents, and ensure designs are within manufacturing abilities.
  • Performs Engineering calculations and analysis to ensure compliance design criteria and all applicable regulations.
  • Completes or initiates controlled testing of components and installations in order to meet contractual obligations, ensure product reliability and verify component fit.
  • Completes technical Engineering drawings and release documents in accordance with Engineering procedures and ENAs (Notices of Action).
  • Provides Engineering support to Production, Quality Assurance, Customer Service support, and other departments as required.
  • Interacts with vendors and customers on design related issues. Ensures that, where applicable, there are documents of vendor approval on new installations or applications.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong CAD/ Unigraphics, Drafting Autocad, FEA skills.
  • Strong team work, problem solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
