Position Summary:

As an integral part of our fast-paced organization, you will be responsible for providing leadership to the NFI Group of companies in the maintenance, design, development, communication and implementation planning of key HR programs policies and procedures.  The areas of focus will include recruitment services, employee communications, employee engagement/culture, workforce planning, total rewards, regulatory/company governance policies and procedures as determined by the HR Executive Team.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and manage plans with recommendations, implement human resources activities, policies, procedures, and programs for the organization.
  • Provide input and development of key human resources procedures with the goal to provide standardization and alignment between the NFI Group of companies’ human resources practices.
  • Work with business unit leadership to ensure NFI Group HR programs and initiatives are enhancing the delivery of business results and make recommendations to HR leadership to align initiatives with business needs.
  • Lead and assess business needs and organization change to evolve teams to deliver business results; assess and audit location/business processes and needs to recommend strategies and execution plans to meet organizational, people, and business needs.
  • Enable HR leaders to effectively lead their teams by providing clear goals, tools, resources, communications and feedback mechanisms.
  • Partner and support compensation programs in the design and delivery of various total reward programs.
  • Provide input to the HR teams in developing strategic workforce plans, recruitment and retention strategies and provide support in selection activities for all hourly and salaried positions.
  • Collaborate with HR teams to implement consistent and thorough onboarding and orientation of all employees.
  • Create and implement initiatives in all HR areas including talent management, recruitment and selection and benefits and compensation.

Preferred Skills

  • Post secondary education in a related Human Resources field is preferred or a relevant combination of education and experience
  • Requires at least five years of progressive Human Resources generalist experience with more than three years at a leadership level
  • Knowledge and experience in a full-service HR environment in a high-volume atmosphere with exposures in a multi-facility/multi-business
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships and to converse in a professional manner and collaborate with all levels of the organization
  • Motivated self-starter with capabilities to work within a fast paced team oriented environment
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
