 Position Summary:

As a key member of our Information Technology Services Team, you will provide a professional point of contact for all New Flyer end users seeking software/hardware support in the Winnipeg facilities and remote locations. This will include resolving day to day helpdesk tickets as well as participating in hardware and software deployments.

What You Will Do:

  • Provide first and second level analysis and support for workstations and laptops as part of the New Flyer Helpdesk team
  • Support desktop/laptop operating systems/hardware/additional software, printers, network access, telephones, mobile phone, remote connectivity and other relevent areas
  • Help plan and execute the move, add or change requests for computer hardware, software and telephones
  • Update Microsoft Active Directory attirbutes as required
  • Process requests for new software and hardware through analysing options, obtaining quotes, and providing recommendations for product selection
  • Provide After-hours on call support for the above on a rotational basis


Preferred Skills

  • 2+ years providing excellent end user focused Helpdesk/Desktop support in a large-scale distributed environment
  • Good analytical, communication planning and organization skills
  • Computer Science Degree or technology diploma. (a relevant combination of education and experience will be considered.)
  • Experience with Windows (7/8/10), SCCM, Active Directory, Microsoft Office, JRE, network protocols and telephony
  • General experience with iOS, Android and Blackberry OS a plus
