Position Summary:

As a key member of our Supply Chain team, you will be responsible for the development of strategies and objectives to support the performance of assigned categories to meet customer satisfaction and business objectives. You will develop key supplier relationships, and manage overall supplier performance to ensure parts availability to the private and public markets.

What you will do:

  • Lead, coach and mentor assigned category teams to develop and execute procurement strategies and programs.
  • Work with Category Leads to develop Supply strategies and sourcing initiatives to support lowest total cost of ownership.
  • Develop, monitor and maintain a process for urgent requirements (i.e. Coach Down, Warranty/Retrofit and Acceptance).
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators, manage and improve established performance targets.
  • Work with Manufacturing Lead to ensure management of bill of material routings, work orders and overall improvement in Bench assembly processes and systems to meet customer expectations.
  • Manage the annual costing exercise to ensure relevant/required parts have updated costing in Oracle and negotiations take place to validate and minimize increases.
  • Ensure that policies and processes are being followed as it relates to all regulatory and legal requirements including ICFR (Internal Controls Financial Reporting).


Preferred Skills

  • Post-secondary education in Business or Supply Chain management or related field will be considered
  • Five years of experience in a leadership role working with Supply Chain teams and domestic/global supply base
  • SCMA, ISM or APICS continuing education is beneficial
  • Strong understanding of Distribution and Manufacturing concepts/processes
  • Extensive knowledge of Enterprise Planning System (ERP) systems
  • Advanced organizational, analytical and negotiating skills
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office, in particular Microsoft Excel
  • Motivated self-starter with capabilities to work within a fast paced team oriented environment
