Job Description

As an integral part of our fast paced organization, this position is responsible for managing complex/extensive business process analysis used to define business problems and develop strategies for solutions. In addition, this position leads the Finance Business Systems group through the development and implementation of technology-based solutions.What you will do:

•Manage and develop the finance business systems team.

•Oversee businesses’ systems related projects to ensure internal and external resources for specific projects are available to support their completion.

•Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of business processes, the information/data required and generated by these processes, and the computer application functionality that ensures these processes are cost-effective and efficient.

•Organize and facilitate meetings and interviews with business users and subject-matter experts (SME) to gather information for the identification and definition of their business processes and for the identification of scope and impact of their business process issues.

•Identify continuous improvement opportunities in the business through reviews and assessments of current business processes and systems.

•Develop conceptual designs of proposed technical solutions; acts as the liaison between the business and ITS in transforming system design concepts to a detailed system design.

•Oversee acceptance testing of new business systems and system enhancements to ensure system functions in accordance with detailed specifications.

•Resolve business system issues to ensure the needs of finance are met.

•Pursue and recommend changes to business system processes that improve efficiency quality of finance.

•Champion continuous improvement and provide direction to the finance team through lean principles.

•Work collaboratively with the functional areas to support system enhancements with finance leadership.

•Research and recommend, in collaboration with ITS, enhancements or changes to finance; hardware, software development, licensing feasibility, cost and compatibility.

Preferred Skills

•Post-secondary education in finance or equivalent experience

•CA, CGA, CMA, CPA designation will be considered an asset

•3-5 Years’ experience with Oracle ERP or equivalent Tier 1 ERP

•Advanced Excel skills would be considered an asset

•Superior presentation skills along with strong interpersonal and leadership skills

•Ability to converse in a professional manner and collaborate with all levels of the organization

•Motivated self-starter with capabilities to work within a fast paced customer service oriented environment

•Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
